Moving from wales to England

Hi

Apologies if this is in the wrong area!

We are looking at moving from where we currently live in north wales to Wirral, England. To cut a long story short my husband works there, they have amazing special schools and we have family there. When we moved to wales our son was only 6mths and even though we knew something was “a bit special and different” we had no idea what that was. He didn’t get diagnosed until age 3. All the reasons we moved to the area don’t apply anymore because of this and my husbands work has moved from a 20min commute to 60min.

I am worried about how it works and don’t seem to be able to answers from anyone in authority. What happens to his diagnosis and statement and dla as these were all granted in wales. He currently attends a special school so we really want him to not go back to mainstream as even with a one to one this hasn’t worked. Do they just transfer everything or do they have to assess all over again?

any advice would be gratefully received!!
