Aspergers and drugs

A trait of Aspergers is difficulty re expressing/interpreting emotions?

And some drugs (eg LSD, MDMA etc) are empathogenic meaning whomever takes them will have an enhanced awareness of emotions/empathy?

Has any study/research been done to see if such drugs administered in low doses in a suitable environment could help people with ASD understand concepts such as empathy better?

  • They really don't work like that, they don't enhance anything so much as change your perception. LSD and MDMA (ecstasy) have had extensive research done over the years although not as far as I know in connection to ASD.

It's pretty much like Vometia said though, If you speak English and everyone else speaks French, shouting those words (The aplification effects of those drugs) isn't really going to help you understand.
