Are there any shows that are helping you get through the strange days we're living through?
I like those reality competitions e.g. the Bake Off, Sewing Bee, Best Home Cook, Pottery Throwdown etc. And things like Bridgerton and Winx, which are total fantasy escapes from reality.
I also remembered Detectorists. Does anyone watch that? A nice, subtle series with nothing horrible happening.
I like Last Of The Summer Wine, Dads Army, watching the football, soap opreas , the Line Of Duty and watching detective programmes. Also I like the Chase.
Hi. I've just started watching "The Inbetweeners" and it seemed REALLY funny! I've been watching reruns of "Victorious", "iCarly" and "Sam & Cat" via Nickelodeon and they are still my favourites. To relax, I enjoy watching "Bob Ross The Joy Of Painting" on BBC 4. "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" is also great as I like answering the questions. I'm also so glad that "Top Gear" is back.
Here's my favourite ones.
Probably others I can't think of right now:)
Actually just noticed you wrote By the Sword Divided. I used to love that when I was little. The only episode I really remember though is the one where they accused Rachel of being a witch. Never forgotten that.
What's it about?
Right now - Wandavision on Disney +, which after a slow start I'm quite enjoying. It's quirky and weird enough to scratch that sci-fi itch and with a short run it's not going to outstay its welcome.
I love the dog house. So amazing seeing the dogs getting rehomed and matched up with people who need them!
I'm going to reply to myself as it won't let me edit my comment.
We have been watching:
The Crew, about a NASCAR team which is especially funny if you like motor racing as I do.
Malory Towers, an adaptation of the Enid Blyton books.
Love, a story about two hopeless people falling in love. Really makes you feel 'well at least I'm not as bad as they are.' lol
I liked Bridgerton, I remember vaguely being upset by a scene but I can't remember what it was. I think it is a fantasy land though, where they wouldn't mention racism and even the girl who became pregnant lived happily ever after. Not to be taken seriously, just a lockdown distraction.
u're welcome
Thanks!
welcome back :)
I really loved rewatching ‘parks and rec’, ‘house’, ‘community’, ‘crash landing on you’, ‘psych’ , and a bit polarising but i ended up liking ‘atypical’ after hearing the later seasons were better than the first
i thought i’d like bridgerton as i love period pieces and for the most part i did but there was one triggering scene in bridgerton, and separately it was a little odd when we learn that when the (current) queen and king had an interracial marriage and after that racism magical just went away in the few decades since, only being brought up once or twice in the show.
Yes that is interesting! Maybe they only dislike one D**k but more than one is fine!
Yeah, I feel it is a bit overkill of the site here to censor a common shortening of the name Richard but, oh well. It's interesting though that we can happily have 'Swedish Dicks' but not '*** Turpin'. [You'll see the website autocensoring come in here.]
How funny you had to censor that word! I guess it's Duck? Or Deck?
The ones I've been watching are:
My favorite TV show is The Big Bang Theory. I like it a lot and watched it several times. It is funny and the acting is excellent. Recently I've started watching Call Me Kat with Mayim Bialik (who also played in The Big Bang Theory). (spam removed by moderator) I watched only two first episodes with breaks. But this show is supposed to be light and funny, so I'm going to watch it further in the hope I'll like it. Speaking about other good TV series, I can name Game of Thrones, Young Sheldon, and Friends.
If there's John Simm in it - I'm there!
