How can you be in the top 30% if you have no posts?

I am not in charge here, but a mad guess would be that 70% of members are inactive. So if you have just signed in that immediately makes you a thirtypercenter because you have done something as opposed to nothing like the 70% part time casuals.

ah, that makes some sense, ok, so my stalker is 'new' then or has been lurking around for a while and thought, hmm...this looks like a target!

Oh yes one gets a 'conversation starter' badge when  one introduces oneself also.  Designed to foster interaction I imagine. Probably it's the default setting of the software.
