Good Fortune to you, Mr.Rainbow-Feline...I know that this is one of those "older" Threads - "older" as in dropping off and about a month old (!)... yet I now Post something here which I have thought about Posting for a long time...
Concerning this and a certain other Festive Thread before it, what I wanted to say *then*, was this...
The thing about MUSIC, is that there are a lot of Songs out there which either have: A Memorable Melody but bad Lyrics... Or ... A Memorable Lyric yet a not very good Melody...?
The best and most well- known examples I know, of the former, would be: The Beatles - WalrusQueen - Bohemian RhapsodyNik Kershaw - The Riddle(... and perhaps Spice Girls - Wannabe (!) )
(...For myself, I am rather fond of:Lit - My Own Worst EnemyManic Street Preachers - Motorcycle Emptiness...The Melodies/Tunes are good and memorable, .. yet I cannot agree much at all with the Lyrics (confusion, drunkenness, crashing vehicles)... bad, very bad...!)
...And I wonder if anyone else knows what I mean..? My point is that Music can be enjoyed in different ways. E.g. - Television Theme Tunes, such as Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, The Odd Couple, Father Ted... are quite memorable, yet their Lyrics are almost unknown...
In closing, I do apologise for not posting any Links here, for I am not that good at using Videos, YouTube, Internet, and whatnot.
(All I might do is think about a New Thread... T.V.Adverts: - Beanz Meanz Heinz, Shake'n'Vac, Meow Mix, Um Bongo, Hamlet Cigars, Hovis, TDK, Go-Compare... it may never end... yet I am ending this Post now...!)
Red flash, clouds choking out the morning sky
Two from the Imagined Village. This is a group made up of various folk and routes musicians
Tam Lynn by Imagined Village and featuring Benjamin Zephania
Space Girl by Imagined Village
Tam Lynn is a reworking of an old story.
Space Girl was written by Ewan MacColl, totally different from his other work.
I recently discovered this individual Baba Brinkman. He's known as the 'peer-reviewed rapper'. Very intellectual and thought provoking music.

I found myself by Anna clendening.https://youtu.be/TJ3J5FzBlhY
Certain songs can effect my whole body causing almost overwhelming feelings, tingling, vibration, hot shivers, so much more than just nice,,,
I have a very varied choice in music and song. It matters not the genres. It can be electronic, acoustic, deep bass so long as it effects me emotionally I like it.
just recently I came across a song on YouTube I had heard many times and found it to be powerful and gritty, full of angst,,,It was when I saw the video the words suddenly had so much more meaning... it overwhelmed my emotions. I saw raw freestyle movement. So beautifully portrayed but at times chaotic or robotic, in fact the dance was fantastic in its own right.
It is chandelier by Sia.

I like pschedelic music such as:
The Dee Jays - " InCrowd Hangout"
www.youtube.com/watch
The Deejays - Striped Dreams Checked Fear:
Soul Shakin' Psychedelic Sally:
I particularly like youtube videos with a good accompanying video, such as:
The Nice - The cry of Eugene
The Monkees - The Porpoise Song
Sadly some of my favourite youtube videos have been taken down recently.
Songs for Today:
Fear a Bhata - Capercailie
Crazy Man Michael - Fairport Convention
Train Song - Vashti Bunyan
The Scarecrow - June Tabor
Fear a Bhata is such a beautiful song and it loses something when translated into English from the Gaelic.
Crazy Man Michael was written by Richard Thompson when he was still a teenager. And Sandy Denny had such a fantastic Voice
Vashti Bunyan underwent a resurgence in popularity when her tunes were 'discovered' and used in advertisements a few years ago. But I love listening to her songs.
June Tabor's voice is so haunting. This is her cover of a Waterson song, her version I believe to be vastly superior to the original.
Hi spotty thank you that was brilliant, how did I miss them. X()x.
very apt words too.
Mah nah mah nah nah nah nah nah...

Trying to do this on my phone so not at all sure it will work, but Pete and the Pirates 'One Thousand Pictures' album is very dear to me, especially 'Halfmoon Street'. I've howled along to this many times in my car, 'Don't make me feel stupid, I'll do that on my own.' Therapeutic and beautiful.
Mahnamanah! ;-)
Excellent call nameless one, I've had this on vinyl for donkeys years and love it to bits but I've never seen that footage, so thank you for that. I don't think its flippant, just brilliant.
It's also one of the only songs I will sing, kind of got scared of my own voice one way or another.
One of the best poetry I find is in 'sympathie for the devil'
Anastasia, screamed in vain... I find that so disgusting and bleek it gives me shivers...
When you think of the movies made about her alleged survival, then comes Mick Jagger and tells you:
'nah, we're not in the business of doing half work'...
