Hi - just wanted to introduce myself...not really sure what to say as most of it is in my bio...erm, 34, dad to two boys. Love working from home but dont have many (any!) friends so can feel isolated at times.
Feel free to ask anything...I'm always shocked at the lack of support for autistic adults. Happy to talk about anything really.
Thanks and bye for now!
yes i understand that completely
Thanks, good to be here!
I work for a national charity coordinating the volunteers and local branches in the North East of England. I love it.
Hi - thanks for your reply. I struggle terribly with anxiety and it was one of my therapists who suggested I get a diagnosis...took 2 years but got diagnosed at 33! It sounds strange, but I don't get too emotional and I feel that helps. I don't lack empathy but am able to keep thinking clearly (I'm not a robot though!)
Hello Companero Dave welcome this is great place very friendly and welcoming great your here
Hi Dave. Can I ask what you do from home?
i found being autistic i am more objective with people in general which I feel makes me fairer ( I believe )
what made you go for the diagnosis ?
which trait I mean
just interested because you talk to people by definition of your job
welcome Dave
i also love working from home no horrible commute to the office !
