Choosing self diagnosis

I was told i was autistic by a dr and now is it possible to self diagnose without proffesionals because i agree with the symtoms already. Pls help

    It seems NAS (I'm sure I read a page somewhere on this site) Agrees people can self-diagnose). 

    I don't fully understand how though. 

    What is your reason for not wanting to go to a professional about it? Wouldn't it be better to know for sure?
