Hi
I'm new here. I’m a little shy at times. I’m starting out on my diagnosis journey, after forty plus years of struggling.
I’m here to connect with others in my position.
I m 59 and was recently diagnosed with being on the spectrum, at least now I know why I feel different but I am actually quite scared too, now I have a label and I am not sure how to deal with. So pleased to know there other people out there too like me.
My Gp only sent referral over on last Tuesday. So I’m just waiting.
It has made all the difference being among people I feel comfortable with in this online community - hope this forum is a positive experience for you too.
Hello there! Welcome!
Thanks all, nice to know I’m not alone.

There are some really good people here. It helps so much to feel understood.
Best wishes with your diagnosis journey - if there is anything we can help you with just ask.

Hi and welcome
Hi Ed,
Welcome to the community. You'll find a lot of common ground with the good people here.
I got my diagnosis in 2015, aged 56. A long lifetime of struggling was finally understood! Good luck with your own journey. Have you had a referral yet?
Look forward to seeing you around.
Tom
