This is my first ever thred (on any site)!!! yesterday my son was diagnosed with autism, they are unsure where on the spectrum he sits, the main areas are his social interaction and the difficulties he has when playing with children (he is very loud and sociable but normally likes to play with a certain child - and anyone coming into his environment whilst playing he either pushes, pulls or states he wants to smack them. During the multi-agency panel I had some queries in terms of their comments around certain areas where they felt he hit the criteria, but I need to support my son where I can and rather than trying to question the outcome of their decision (which was my natural reaction) I am now trying to support my son where I can. As a new member is there any resources, literature techniques that would help me understand his difficulties and areas where I can help him at home. Thanks
Hi, I hope you'll find this forum (and the wider site) as useful as I have. Welcome!
