Just a little note on my stimming. I'm constantly rubbing and massaging my skin, or scratching with whatever I can find. I've got backscratchers and head scratchers, but while they are good at scratching, there is very little pressure. So, I've ordered a handheld massager. I'll use it as a massager for my calves, which get really sore because I walk like on my toes a lot. But a friend who has an autistic son said it really helped him because the vibrations on his body help him to relax.

Great, Thanks for sharing, I found a lot of interesting information here. really helpful for IndigoCard.
Fantastic and thanks for replying. I shall start searching for one of my own tonight.
I've been looking at them, but the trouble is you can't take them out with you.
Hi, yes. I'm finding it helpful. I have an electric head massager which vibrates my entire scalp (and around my face). I have an electric eye massager too. This new main handheld electric body massager vibrates the whole body, skin, bones... it feels like I'm operating a pneumatic drill. Very satisfying.
should get one of them vibrating massage chairs then lol
This very thing has been suggested to me by my OT. Be very keen to know if you find it helpful. Good luck
Probably - but I can't think of a mechanism that would create it when I've been still.
Sometimes, my body reacts as if it has had an electric shock.
That could be vestibular...
Dunno if anyone else ever has this but if I lay on a bed and close my eyes, I get the feeling of my whole body oscillating and slowly rotating like the bed is on a turntable - sort of a 1 Hz vibration and around a 10 second rotation time.
Maybe it's just me.
I don't know. Maybe those who are around you may notice?
I'm pickin' up good vibrations..
So, I've ordered a handheld massager.
Plain brown wrapper, sir?
I'll use it as a massager for my calves,
ok We do not judge.....
I have never really stimmed i am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Have i masked it all my life ?
