i think because it originally catered to parents and their children rather than adults, and seems to be the going trend these days, whilst other websites like wrongplanet may be overseas it still has better resources for autism in adults and adolescents. Not suggesting this site is bad but it does make you have to sign in every time i leave if I want to post something and hasn't seen much activity.
