Hello Audhd here

Bare with me heads a little messy

last year GP refered me to HIM - did 14 weeks CBT with Health In Mind (HIM) suggested i be referred to Community Mental Health Team

i had an assessment…. Letter mentioned lots of stuff man shrugging: light skin tone CPTSD and other things (I was highlighting stuff…. just blanked out now

CMHT case study meeting this morning - ive been told to self refer to HIM as they contacted them this morning and HIM were happy for me to self refer & they would try and match me with counsellors who had neurodivergent knowledge
i asked who CMHT had contacted, no response, Called HIM and they had nothing on there system re a conversation about me.

what am i meant to do now….

  • Just for reference, some might not be aware what some of your abbreviations mean -  I know, but others wont.

For instance HIM (Health in Mind) or CMHT (Community Mental Health Team)

Not everyone has the same named services in each part of the country.  You may well not have been aware.

Personally I'd be getting in touch with my GP rather than to self-refer in the circumstances you describe - rather than to hope a referral has taken place and actually exists between ATS and HIM.  Don't leave it to chance.  Your GP will have more access routes to these people than you do.
