Good to hear this thread has helped. Taking up poetry sounds amazing. I just started an art class and although I didn't make it this week, I am finding a lot of benefit from it and one benefit I didn't expect to find ~ I am finding that I am learning the art of conversation or the art of keeping my mouth shut and not being so dominant, which can often end conversations! So these things can sometimes have benefits we weren't expecting. Going into the woods for a week sounds like heaven! :-) my idea of heaven anyway. Part of my future plan is to live in a converted van in nature. Let us know how you get on with any changes that you are making.
But I hope you will find support and some solace and comfort here.....it is tough...but you’re not along here x
I’m off to a shepherds hut or Croft somewhere remote...I will be crazy hermit lady......I will be local legend.....don’t go into the wood that Aspie wood lives there! ....... she’s weird and miswired.... it might be catching! Lol
Agree just being alone in the woods watching real natural life go about it’s business has always been something I dreamt of, BlueRay I to always fancied living in a converted van or bus, free to travel and live a life of working to live,,,,not living to work, payment in food or enough money just to survive.
Ellie there is a lady in wales who lives on a farm, she allows one or two to just live there, tents, self built shacks, it was on a living wild series by Ben fogle. Sounds heaven, she is building huts for visitors, I will race you there Lol.
Sorry....didn’t catch what you said.....byeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Hahaha that’s me to a tea! Everyone was telling me about Hannah Huxley, who lived on a farm in the Dales by herself, because they said she reminded them of me! Let’s just take over all the woods and forests. The NT’s can have the cities and we can dwell happily in our woods :-D sorted :-)
Hahahahaha I love it ~ you totally crack me up! Hang on a minute - ooops, overtook you ;-) not really, we can all live there, form our own colony! Actually, this is part of my long term plan. First I get my van set up and after a while of living and working on the road, I’m going to get a piece of land, a big piece, and all us fringe dwellers can live a perfect life there. I’ve akready got several people interested and a couple of them already have the financial means to purchase land, although that’s not a problem, I know I’ll get the land and I don’t want anybody paying to live on it. We can all build our tiny homes on there, share the gardening etc and all live as we want to with as much or as little interaction with each other as we want. This is definitely going to happen. I just realised I need some time on the road first and that will give me a good opportunity to save some money and also check out different parts of the uk where I’d like to set up home. There’s a bunch of folks in the south of england who got the council to let them live on some land and they’re having a great time. They did an open day earlier this year but I found out about it just before the day and didn’t have time to sort it out to get down there. The tiny home movement is growing, even over here in the UK and for me, I have finally realised, it’s the only way for me to live.
Wow I missed your reply,,,,sounds amazing, I wish you all the success in the world, I have always believed that a colony with only people on the spectrum could work, it would take time to brush away the damage caused by trying to adapt into a life we don’t belong. NT ways.
Without the stigma or worries to adapt we would all know how we can contribute. There would be an understanding of each other’s difficulties and a shared desire to help and nurture.
Keep me informed on your journey please,,,,oh and don’t tell that Ellie Lol. Knowing my luck she will have built her place before I even get to find where it is!(joke)
I enjoy your style, you are strong, you are determined, much respect.
Been googling ideas already! Flag captured!
Yours will blow away in the welsh winds,,,,said mr wolf,
mine however will stand the test of time, a cob house it is all hand built, I even have experience of helping to build one, here is a link to a random one I found whilst googling, nothing to do with me but has a lovely story and a beautiful house.
enjoy, maybe NAS35296 could volunteer depending where you are from, the one I got involved in had many volunteers working to find out how and to get practical experience, They are popping up all over the uk.
Nice and Cosy with next to no maintenance.
