One of my paintings, titled 'In Between', I wonder what you guys will make of it, be gentle with me, I do have a Masters degree for validation but still not much self confidence. I think of my work in terms of 'mindscapes' and always have. Have a feeling this is going to load really small, if at all...
Hope it shows up big enough to see it.
Morning Spotty. I have just been browsing round the threads and I found this one which you may find interesting
Anyone on here into Art?
NoodlePoodle
what did you think about the autism trust?
I often go to Open Studios in the local area but I get either hard copy or links to the brochures. I am on the edge of 3 different ones which covers a large area! But I do spend time looking up the websites of those whose work look interesting. Then disappointed if they don't have their work available to see online either on their own website or on "images". So I hope you are able to take advantage of the website idea but imagine it could feel daunting and too much in the spotlight?
Thank you Elephant, I've been wondering where you are! I'm still wading through treacle and I imagine you are too. Hope you are waving not drowning. x
Hope all well with you Spotty....see, your work is really very good! X
Somebody wrote the most lovely comment about this painting, saying that it reminded them of the video game 'Machinarium' which I think is absolutely beautiful, or mathematical equations of some kind. For some reason the comment has vanished, I presume they deleted it for some reason. Anyway I just wanted to say a massive thank you to whoever it was and hope they see this, what you saw in my work is exactly my intention so I'm very happy!
Hi lovely...a break tonight but a houseful again tomorrow.....I am close with my son (we have good bangs) so miss him when he's gone...
a quiet night,..OH glued to the tv as always...me sat in the same space...different priorities but do admit that I'm pretty self absorbed at the moment
you ok...
did you manage to filtch a garden gnome from Tom's garden, post party!
The brave button was hitting post with my art work attached, preparing for potential criticism, and 1 referred to your son coming home as you said you'd missed him. Hope your evening is going ok, don't know how you are coping with all those people in your house.
I will have a look, thanks Misfit.
Hey...just found this response....
2. I was just warming up! 4. Not messed up, just misunderstood! (Lol!) and 3. So love the fact that you hit the 'brave" button .....can you explain 1. Because it sounds lovely!!!
Some great art on there...I like the term artissm as well
Thank you for your thoughts, it is always interesting to hear someone's take on abstract art and what they see in it, I appreciate you taking the time to have a look. The file resolution upload limit is very low as far as I can work out, which is a shame I agree as details are lost and it's all about the details!
https://www.theautismtrust.org.uk/ Have you had a look at this? I don't know if it can be used like an autistic etsy or not but might be worth a try... So many talented people on here.
At 567x567 pixels, it's not easy to make out details, but the painting has a coherent shape. The relationships between the thirteen tall, thin figures at the bottom right corner interest me. (I say thirteen, but there may be a fourteenth who's lying down.) My eye is naturally drawn first to those shapes because they look human, but then I notice the resemblance to similar shapes elsewhere in the painting, and the thin black brush strokes in the top left start to look like human limbs.
I see it as the depiction of events during the siege of a fortification, and I like it.
1 It's good to have someone to miss who will come back.
2 You did draw a very fine stick man and the ensuing comments were very funny.
3 I hit the brave button and put my work up here.
4 You lovely messed up people are here.
Erm....
Picked large bowl of brambles.
Assembled gp cage it's a bit bigger.
Builder came to fix cracks missed
not very exciting!
Meh! Mixed bag.....racking my brains for three positives as I type this...you? How about you, Spotty?
Yes...you can edit when someone has replied.....but can only delete when no one has replied
Thanks! Learning things all the time.
You should have a more button alongside the reply button and there is the option to delete as well as edit. Maybe it disappears if someone has replied...
Elephant did you have a good day today?
