Hi my son has an obsession with electronical devices, tablet and PS4. As you can imagine he does get a lot of enjoyment from them but they do overstimulate him and cause him to flap and jump. Has anyone come across any toys or anything that help to calm themselves or their child. Just want to find something to calm him after he has played as he gets really frustrated and angry when he is told to stop.
I keep looking, but most are the standard plastic design in varying colours, or a merger of fidget cube and spinner. I will keep looking! Someone somewhere will make one for me!
:O It's just arrived. I'm 27 and I love it! :p hmm I wonder if you could find something more suitable online...you can find everything online, right?
Hi Rainboweyes,
My son (4) has a fidget cube, and I thought i would love it but it's clearly made for a child as its very small and simple, and I want something larger, ideally with a cog and a windy thing, clicky bit and squishy button. I wonder if you can make your own out of a list of parts?
I've just ordered a fidget cube which I'm dying to try out! I usually have my colour wheel with me which I spin when I'm in social situations (I love art so this is quite apt) but thought I'd give this cube a try. If your son is into gaming he may like the way some of the parts feel like buttons =]
I really need to make an english version, as my daughter keeps saying thinigs in the American accent from the video my son watches! It is strange how something I find so irritating can calm my son so much!
your post made me LOL. same thing in my world. nursery rhymes to the rescue. LOL.
lol no worries
I apologise in advance for the youtube one. I think your son may be to old for it but you never know. You may feel like you loose a few IQ points just watching though!
Thanks Daniel I will have to have a look.
Our son has a huge board and a bag of cogs. We like to put one in a top corner and one in the opposite bottom corner and he will happily sit and work out how to get from one to the other. This can sometimes take time, and often he distracts himself spinning one or 2 of the cogs
(similar to this but old and worn out and bigger)

He also will sit and listen to the worlds most annoying youtube video of nursery rhymes and be completely hypnotised:

Its really american and annoying, but its something that he has latched on to as a wind down aid.
I think its the familiarity of the rhymes, and as he knows all the words he can quietly sing along and feel comfortable
