I received today a free pair of bamboo socks. They seem very soft and hopefully they will be comfortable.
Bamboo clothing seems to be quite expensive.
Does anyone have experience of wearing bamboo clothing?
I believe it is actually made out of bamboo
They take the bamboo shoots, crush them and create a bamboo fibre.
Are they actually made of bamboo?
Yes. The washing and drying is a problem.
I find bamboo clothing very comfortable (soft on skin) and great if you struggle with getting hot like I do. Seems to help to regulate temperature better.
I now use it for yoga and its the best clothing I've found for that.
But it doesnt wash as well and takes ages to dry.
For me the benefits are sufficient though.
Ten year ago I was buying bamboo towels. They were very soft and luxurious when new. But unfortunately not very long lasting and more difficult to clean than cotton one's.
I bought them at one of these 'something' mill named stores. They were only in stock for a short time.
Where did you buy the socks?
I received my free pair from BAM (Bamboo Clothing). According to their catalogue, bamboo fabric is:
Based purely on the socks I received, I agree with 1,2, 4 and 6. I cannot comment on 3 and 5.
I have just bought some bamboo socks that were in the sale and have just washed them ready for their first wear. Maybe we need to start a review section for bamboo clothing.
Well, the socks I have been sent are smooth and I have read that bamboo clothing is smooth.
I haven't tried any personally but they seem quite smooth in texture. Is that right?
