However these new tshirts my stepdaughter bought me have a tag inside which is really irritating. I've cut out as much of the label as possible but there's this very small bit left which I can really notice. It's really scratchy.
My label or pending posterior tattoo will have no washing instructions.not enough room to fit it all in, I am only nine stone two pounds Lol.
marker pen? I see a cost cutting solution.
All the above was written with humour in mind,
I enjoyed reading this thread, some nice humour.
It reminded me of my late mother. When we were children, she always cut out tags and labels from everyone's clothes and used permanent ink marker pens to initial clothes for identification.
I never cut tags or labels, they don't irritate me. And they included much needed washing instructions.
Error in the bagging area! ...and LW that is quite a rude protest! And I thought that ASDs were bad at social interaction! .....I’ll cut that bit off the label!
In reallity never, but I imagine it to help convey my emotions when presented with ignorance, message sent loud and clear!
A QR code? It would probably come up as” error item not known”.
I like a good old fashioned bar code. Mine would be leaning to one side ha ha.
Hopefully that would be discrete...not knowing how particular you are about sharing your rear end!
Lol....
.....or just NT not included x
may need a QR code to make it shorter?
Do do not store near loud noises or wear at social events but keep on a hanger in a cool and dark wardrobe....ooops that’s turning into a rather large label!
I’d have it tattooed like a washing label. Made from Autism. Hand wash only, dry flat and do not dry clean or iron.
just had a thought! I could maybe have it tattooed discretely on my body, on my bum cheeks Lol.( joke)
As I said in my earlier reply” I don’t intend getting stitched or glued on my person”.
probably just leave it in a dark drawer, metaphorically of coarse.
The label is for NT acceptance, a label should not be necessary if we were just accepted. Try parking in an allocated disabled space without a badge or easily seen disability?
They need to pigeon hole everything.
Yep, did that too, quite literally also. Not a good idea, may result in many more labels...
Even tried to cut it out....metaphorically, not literary
Never thought I would have an issue with labels either....then I was given the one called autistic.... it’s a scratchy bugger! X
i meant cutting it apart from the edge to the hole where the stitch goes until every bit comes loose and you can pull out the whole plastic label, not leaving anything behind
Oh no whole label or bin the complete item, leaving little bits is as bad as leaving the whole thing.
it just needs patience and time to deconstruct, no cutting of garment, the stitches are usually quite tight but never yet been defeated Lol.
just my opinion of coarse,,,I am a bit ott,
Not a good idea, I would say, because then you have to open the stitches it a fair bit to fix both loose ends and then sew the bit that's been undone. Carefully cutting the label apart (and only that) seems by far the best way to me.
Can you unpick the stitching which holds the label in?
Absolutely - this satisfaction is something that people who don't mind the labels will never be able to experience!
I to hate labels,my neck ends up very soar, the last one I took off I used a small pointed craft knife, I run the blade along the top of the loop stitches, then by pulling the label at one end you get to see the internal stitches stretch, gently run the blade along them and feel the threads pull,so satisfying when done. I do it with most things, flannels, towels even underwear, never considered it as an ASD thing, thought I was just delicate Lol.
Ironically I am looking to have my own label.,It wnon’t be getting stitched or glued on my person though.
