Toddler will not take medicine

My 3 year old grandson has recently been diagnosed with ASD so we are on the steep learning curve of how best to support him.

He has communication issues and doesn't talk

We  have huge problems giving him medicine , he will only takes pink Calpol which he takes happily. Anything else and it is a huge battle to get it down and then he heaves and gags until he throws it back up.

He has a nasty ear infection and we are not able to get the antibiotics Into him.

We would be grateful for any tips or help.

Thank you
