Now that people in their 40s, 50s, 60s (and upwards) are requesting diagnosis I wonder if there is any research in progress to discover how being on the spectrum during the years before autism/AS was 'discovered' affected their lives and whether looking at the way they (at least outwardly) coped in the NT world would add a dimension to the treatment (and understanding) of those with the syndrome.
This old post fits what I want to post so here goes.. I was browsing on a topic and a research website came up. Some of us have discussed the lack of research into adult asd, aging in asd and women in general and older women in particular. Here is one opportunity to contribute to research if you are interested.
